  • What do I need for my first visit?
Our intake involves the completion of an enrollment form, signing our legal agreement, and providing proof of vaccinations. This can be completed in paper format and dropped off during your first visit, or completed within our online portal!
  • Where exactly are you located?
The Crate Escape's address is: 500 Industrial Drive Suite 559 Naperville, IL 60563 We are adjacent to the Route 59 Metra Station, near the A.D.O.P.T. Animal Shelter.
  • What's up with the Meet and Greet?
Dog daycare has proven to be a natural, healthy, and overwhelmingly positive outlet for a dog’s energy and playful spirit! At The Crate Escape, we are lucky enough to have over 4,500 square feet of play space broken down into multiple separated areas. Our Meet and Greet gives us the opportunity to get to know your dog and decide which area they will be most comfortable in! We also keep an eye out for any older dogs having trouble adjusting to the active environment or anxious dogs who are feeling overwhelmed. The Crate Escape's full day assessment allows us to ensure the comfort and safety of all our attendees!
  • Are any vaccinations required for a visit?
Yes! In order to ensure everyone's safety, we require that all dogs be current on their Bordetella, distemper, and rabies vaccinations. Furthermore, we require proof of a negative fecal sample within the last year. We get it, keeping these records updated with us is annoying, but keeping all our guests perfectly safe is our number one priority. Vaccination records can be updated via our customer portal or handed over in person. Our system can automatically request updated records as vaccinations expire from clients who have signed up, so there are no surprises during drop off!
  • Is there an outdoor area?
Yes! We have 700 square feet of fenced in outdoor space that we love to watch our pups play around in when the weather permits. Yay for vitamin D.
  • Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
Yes, dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
  • Will my dog be safe?
Absolutely, safety is our number one priority. The Crate Escape has been serving the Naperville community for over 20 years, and is inspected and licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. We have comprehensive in-house training for all team members, and utilize emergency veterinary services from the Naperville Animal Hospital.
  • Are dogs separated during their stay?
We utilize our separated play areas to create a mixture of the most compatible pups. During our Meet and Greet, we will determine which dogs are most compatible with your dog. We then save that information into your dog's profile making sure they have the best day possible every visit.
  • Can you tell me about video surveillance and other security measures?
The Crate Escape is equipped with a twenty four hour video surveillance system and professionally monitored security and fire alarm systems. Our video surveillance is viewable only by The Crate Escape staff. We don't stream video to the public, sorry!
  • Why are you guys so crazy about dog puns?
Great question, and I wish we knew the answer! It would probably take a therapy session to start flushing it out, but in the meantime, if you've got a great dog pun that we can use, let us know and we may hook you up with a daycare discount!
  • Do any of your daycare packages have expiration dates?
Heck no! You paid for them, we want you to use them. Some of our packages have expected timing components (example: four days total at once a week for the next month); however, we know life happens! If you're cool, we're cool!
  • Do I need a reservation for a daycare escape?
No! Stop on by! Reserving your spot for daycare is always appreciated, but not necessary.
  • Is a Meet and Greet Required for Daycare?

We then save that information into your dog's profile making sure they have the best day possible every visit.
  • Do I need to bring anything for Daycare?
Not at all. We only ask that your dog is on a 4 to 6 foot non-retractable leash during drop off. Feedings are not provided during daycare, and as such, we recommend you give your dog a large breakfast before their day out.
